Connecting to Wired Network (Ethernet)

STS recommends that you get started with on-campus technology by connecting to the Residential Wired (Ethernet) network.  To do so, follow these simple steps to connect and register your computer:

1. Plug your computer into a wired network (Ethernet) port in your residence
2. Open any web browser on your computer
3. In your browser, navigate to an external webpage such as www.google.com
4. Your browser will automatically be re-directed to a registration page
5. Once the registration page loads, scroll down and click the link labeled “Regular full time students using their WUSTL KEY”
6. Once the next page loads, fill out the form with your WUSTL-key and contact information, then click “Register”
7. When the page stating that registration is complete appears, reboot your computer

Note: Once you have connected to the wired network, we recommend you connect to the WUFI-S wireless network.  To do so, follow the wireless setup instructions.
