Reports To: STS Programs Manager
Hours/Salary: minimum of 6 hrs/week up to 19hrs/week – $10 hour.
Job Description: The Technical Support Assistant will provide on-site support for computer labs and printers located in the Law and Business Schools and specific areas in the Knight Center.

General Responsibilities:

  • Check toner and paper supplies in the labs and print-release stations
  • Daily walk-through inspections of all equipment
  • Maintain toner and paper supply inventory
  • Run daily printing reports
  • Basic trouble shooting
  • Other duties as assigned

Accountabilities:

  • Printers are regularly maintained and at full working capacity without interruption
  •  Attends required meetings and training

Qualifications:

  • Meet basic STaRS hiring criteria
  • Highly dependable and reliable
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and do a physical check of each printer during each shift
  • Excellent customer service skills, in person as well as on telephone and in written communications
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of the team
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A strong desire to learn
  • Demonstrates a professional approach in working with full time staff
  • Strong analytical skills
