Title: 3D Printing Student Technician
Department:  Data & GIS Services (DGS) at Washington University Libraries
Reports To: Data & GIS Projects Manager
Salary/Hours: $10/hr — up to 10 hours/week

Position Summary: The 3D Printing Student Technician provides support with 3D printing and digitization/scanning for the Data and GIS Services at Washington University Libraries. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, thorough and willing to learn new skills, who will work with full time staff to explore 3D printing technology. On the job training will be provided for the right 3D printing enthusiast.

Job Duties:

  • execute 3D print jobs
  • research various topics regarding 3D printing  and develop technical documentation
  • general 3D printing trouble shooting
  • maintain and report on 3D printer supplies inventory

Qualifications:

      • Meet basic STaRS hiring criteria: Full-time student with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA, in good academic and judicial standing
      • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts
      • Ability to multitask
      • Basic knowledge of computers and networks
      • Excellent communication and organizational skills
      • A strong desire to learn
      • WUSTL student with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in good academic and judicial standing
