Business Analyst Summer Intern – Office of the Vice Chancellor of Operations

Reports to: Vice Chancellor for Operations and Technology Transfer
Salary/Hours: $12.50 – $15.00 commensurate with experience
Work Schedule: Business hours – 20hrs/week
Start Date: May 2017
Location: Cortex complex
General Responsibilities: The Business Analyst Summer intern will work independently on a project to analyze data regarding Metro transit around the University and sum up findings in a summer-end comprehensive report. Requires excellent analytical skills and ability to identify trends and locate and define new process improvement opportunities. Minimum requirements previous experience in data analysis.
Critical Skills/Expertise:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with data collection and database development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Familiarity with logistics regarding public transport in the St Louis Metro area
Qualifications:
- Experience as a data or business analyst
- Ability to quickly recognize, analyze and solve problems
- Current WUSTL upperclassman or graduate student
