Department: Arts and Sciences Computing, Humanities Digital Workshop
Reports to: Assistant Director
Job Description: The Student Web Designer will help with a multi-institutional collaborative project that seeks to develop a unified design plan that can span several related data-rich interfaces around a humanities text collection without requiring a common back end. The specifics of implementations will be less important than establishing a design direction to enable several initiatives to coordinate with each other and communicate that coordination to end users in an inviting way. There is an opportunity to help shape a visual identity for the project, and to contribute to the project’s understanding of the challenges of interaction design and user experience. The job may also include occasional advisory involvement with other HDW projects.
