Department/Location: WashU IT End User Services, Danforth Deskside (Danforth campus locations: north, west)
Hours/Salary: $10.50-$11/hour – commensurable with experience ; 6 – 20 hours/week
Reports To: EUS Manager Technical Services

Job Description: The Student Tech Support Specialist will perform workstation support activities in coordination with Tech Support Specialists and Senior Tech Support Specialist.

Job Duties:

    •   Assist with computer moves. Breaking down and setting up.
    • Computer deployments
    •    Workstation support, including resolving incidents or facilitating escalation
    •   Computer hardware support
    •   Virus removal, OS troubleshooting
    •   Written and verbal communications regarding status

 

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer experience (Windows and Mac preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A strong desire to learn
