Title: Student App Developer

Hours/Salary: 5-10 hours per week/$13 per hour
Job Description: The Student Web Developer will work with the STS student developers team; immediate focus will be developing a custom web application. Takes on Student Project Manager role for various projects.
General Responsibilities:
- Code, test and debug application
- Assist with technical documentation and diagrams to represent the functionality of assigned project(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Accountabilities:
- Understand and document business requirements and existing processes as they relate to information technology solutions
- Design and develop mobile-friendly custom application as part of the STS student development team
- Adhere to agreed-upon work schedule
Qualifications:
- Complete projects in a timely manner
- Knowledge of and proficiency programming HTML, XML, JavaScript, etc
- Content management system experience: WordPress
- Experience integrating websites with databases such as SQL server, MySQL
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of team
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts
- Ability to switch focus according to changing requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Provide documentation for updated code
- A strong desire to learn
- Meet basic STaRS hiring criteria: full time student with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in good academic and judicial standing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with .NET and SQL
- Experience with use of business applications in web-based environments
