Student Technology Services, a department within WashU IT located on the South40 part of the Danforth Campus, is a dedicated team of four full-time staff and 35-45 student employees who are focused on supporting and delivering technology to the Washington University residential student community. We provide a wide range of services and programs to enhance the University’s mission to discover and disseminate knowledge, and protect the freedom of inquiry through research, teaching, and learning.
The mission of Student Technology Services is to enhance the student experience by advocating for a technology-rich environment that is essential to the successful learning and enjoyable living of our students. To support this mission, STS works toward four main departmental goals:
- Advocate for Technology Delivery, Development, and Services that Support Students
- Build and Maintain Relationships with Campus Partners
- Facilitate and Enhance Tech-related Communication with Students and Residential Life Staff
- Monitor, Evaluate, and Improve Core STS Services by Providing Leadership & Expertise
