Title: TechBar Student Tech (3 positions available)
Department: WashU IT
Reports To: Manager of technical services
Salary: $12/hour
Schedule/Hours: daytime business hours, approx. 10hrs/week, flexible schedule according to availability but preferred: Monday & Wednesday – 10am-3pm, Fridays 8:30am-Noon

Position Summary: The TechBar Tech will assist users with PC and Mac issues, doing initial troubleshooting for software and network-related problems.
Job Duties:
- Resolve or escalate incident tickets as assigned
- Answer communications (Phone, Email, Walk-In)
- Resolve or escalate and document via ServiceNow
- Communicate with customers
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Accountability:
- Incident tickets properly documented, resolved and follow-through assured
- Area security maintained
- Required meetings and training attended
- Positive customer experience
Qualifications:
- Experience with Mac OS and Windows
- Experience performing basic desktop and laptop troubleshooting and maintenance
- Demonstrated customer focus
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of team
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of computers and networks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
