Reports To: STS Programs Manager
Hours/Salary: minimum of 6 hrs/week up to 19hrs/week – $10 hour.
Job Description: The Technical Support Assistant will provide on-site support for computer labs and printers located in the Law and Business Schools and specific areas in the Knight Center.
General Responsibilities:
- Check toner and paper supplies in the labs and print-release stations
- Daily walk-through inspections of all equipment
- Maintain toner and paper supply inventory
- Run daily printing reports
- Basic trouble shooting
- Other duties as assigned
Accountabilities:
- Printers are regularly maintained and at full working capacity without interruption
- Attends required meetings and training
Qualifications:
- Meet basic STaRS hiring criteria
- Highly dependable and reliable
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds and do a physical check of each printer during each shift
- Excellent customer service skills, in person as well as on telephone and in written communications
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of the team
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A strong desire to learn
- Demonstrates a professional approach in working with full time staff
- Strong analytical skills
